Stonewall Plays Safe

Stonewall Plays Safe COVID-19 Player Safety

All league regulations are under constant review and are subject to change regularly based on CDC and local health department guidance.

Spring 2021 Season

  1. We are hosting a shortened Spring season with 3 weeks of game play, and 1 week for the tournament. Four Sundays total.

  2. In order to abide by the Baltimore City Executive Order guidelines for outdoor recreational game play, we will allow a maximum of 240 players to register for our Spring 2021 season.

  3. We are running regular season game play in 3 pods, or groups of up to 4 teams (this may vary based upon the number of registrants) per pod. You will play only those teams within your designated pod over the course of the normal season.

  4. We will keep track of who attends week-to-week, in order to allow for contact tracing correspondence as/if necessary.

Supplied by the League

  1. Hand sanitizer

  2. Limited supply of face masks

  3. Supplies to clean the ball and equipment. All areas and surfaces will be cleaned using CDC recommended criteria found here, by the Stonewall Leadership and Ops Team members between each switch during the innings.

Donations will be gladly accepted for the items above.

Player Responsibilities

  1. Face masks are required to participate. While the organization will have a limited supply of masks, please bring your own. You will be turned away if you do not have a face mask.

  2. Do not attend if, in the last 14 days, you have experienced or have come in contact with anyone exhibiting the symptoms of COVID-19, or have a confirmed/pending diagnosis.

  3. All those in attendance must register for league play prior to attending game play. This ensures that every player has completed and signed the required waiver(s).

  4. All participants must wear a mask and/or face covering at all times if you are physically able. Information on how to properly wear, wash, and remove your face covering can be found here.

  5. Upon arrival to the field each Sunday, and for any events, temperatures will be taken of all participants.

  6. Hand sanitizer should be used after each player (officials included) returns from outfield and/or before the person goes to kick, and as regularly as possible.

  7. Try to maintain 6 feet distance whenever possible.

  8. Avoid touching your face as much as possible. Be sure to re-sanitize your hands if you touch your face. If you happen to touch your face and then a shared surface (i.e. bench, ball, etc) before you have done so please inform game officiants so that the surface may be sanitized.

  9. Game balls should be sanitized with cleaner before and after each game, as well as between each inning, and as needed.

  10. Players are discouraged from any unnecessary physical contact, such as high fives, handshakes, fist bumps, or hugs. Remember the elbow bump is all the rage, safety first folx!

  11. Players are discouraged from sharing water bottles, towels, clothing, etc.

Contact Tracing

In the days following the games, if you experience any of COVID-19 symptoms and/or receive a confirmed diagnosis please let Stonewall Sports Baltimore know immediately by emailing us at baltimore@stonewallsports.org and baltimore.operations@stonewallsports.org. This will allow us to contact trace and inform off of those in attendance immediately so that everyone can take the necessary precautions after possible exposure.  Your identity will stay confidential.
